Overview

Samsung aimed to unify Samsung File Tracker and Samsung Quick Search to deliver a faster, smarter, and more seamless file-search experience for Galaxy Book users worldwide. As the lead designer of File Tracker, I took on the challenge of integrating its timeline, tagging, and filtering features into Quick Search, elevating it from a basic search box to a powerful, all-in-one file management tool.

MY ROLE

UX Designer. Responsible for colaborating with Samsung South Korea project manager and developers from Samsung Quick Search, reviewing the work of two new designers on the project, high-fidelity prototypes, user flows, visual design, and design documentation.

Led direct collaboration with South Korean developers and PMs, overcoming cultural nuances and a 12-hour time zone gap to keep the project on track.

Quick Search redesigned

Layout had to completely change without losing easy access to calendar and file type filters. Key improvements: File preview to easily recognise the file content; Add tags in file preview and add to favorites, a new type of tag.
